TOWN
Aghia Efimia is the main village of Pilaros region and it is placed along the east coast of Kefalonia.
Here in Kefalonia is a well known village, as during recent years, Aghia Efimia from a fishermen village turned into a tourist place.
Surrounded by green hills and due to its central position, it is the ideal place for those who love active holidays and want to visit the beauties of Kefalonia island.
Indeed, it is in a short distance going south from the village of Sami and Antisami beach while, going to the opposite coast, there are the famous Myrtos beach and the village of Assos.
In the surroundings of Aghia Efimia there are several ruins of ancient villages that make really charming the whole area.
Not far there is also the Monastery Thematon which is right in the middle of a forest on Mount Agia Dinati.
Ag. Efimia is also an excellent starting point if you have a boat for daily trips to Ithaka island and it's a good stop for boats as it has an equipped port.
BEACH
The beach of Aghia Efimia is small and narrow.
On one side has a seafront promenade, in the center of the beach there is a small pier and on the other side there is the port that is suitable for sailing boats.
The village is just behind with its shops and restaurants and snack bars for lunch and dinner.
Morover there is a spectacular coast if you go towards Sami. You will find many small and secluded coves with an amazing clear sea like Agia Paraskevi.
HOW TO MOVE
Aghia Efimia is covered by the local public bus service. It is also possible to rent cars, jeeps or motorbikes.

There are a couple of cocktail bars that stay open till late in the night and play live music.
