the beach of Skala is really great, one of the longest on the island, and the one to the east. Being so large permits to have areas with loungers and parasols and open areas where you can find peace even in high season.
Is it possible to have fun with water games such as bananas or ringos, or rent a canoe to explore the coast.
Behind the beach there is a beautiful pine forest refuge to stay in the shade during the hottest hours, and where the children can play in the playground dedicated to them.

Limenia |

Two parts are made of pebbles, one area is made by both sand and small pebbles.

Description
Limenia beach is not one but three beaches one after the other along the coast that connects the two biggest centers of this part of the island that are Skala and Poros.
They are all rocks and shallow, the sea is crystal clear and there are rocky outcrops coming out from the water.
Very impressive to photograph the rocks that seem mushrooms sprouted from the water and can be reached easily on foot or swimming.
This stretch of coastline with a shallow water is ideal for snorkeling because the water is extremely clean.
The only “bad point”is that the road is just behind
the beaches and in high season the cars can be annoying. |

Description
Poros has two bays, the first is equipped with a nice port, also used by ferries arriving from the mainland. In the second one, which is smaller, there is a large square and beach facilities for tourists with a small dock.
Along the coast to the north, at the end of the town, there is a second much larger beach of white pebbles. This beach named Ragia is wilder, less deep and less crowded (third photo).
Very nice scenario to have a wonderful sea in front and green mountains behind. |

Description
Lazarou is accessible only by jeep along the coast because the road is unpaved and comes right near the beach (40 m), while Xilomata and Kutsupia are two beaches accessible only by sea.
These are the only three beaches in a very long stretch of coast (13 km), which is uninhabited.
So there are no restaurants or bars, nor chairs, umbrellas and other equipment.
There is only one total peace! |

Description
after Myrtos is the most famous beach in Kefalonia island and one of the most beautiful in Greece.
You get to Antisamos only by a panoramic road along the coast and immediately after the last turn there is this lovely bay. You will be surprised by the vivid colors of the sea, vegetation and the beach: You will appreciate the deep green of the trees, a long, narrow white line of the beach and then many variations of blue and blue sea.
This beach has also been chosen for the movie "Captain Corelli's Mandolin."
Behind the beach there is a large parking space.
The beach is long and in the center part is equipped with deckchairs and umbrellas while to the east end is free. In fact, walking along the beach towards the end of the bay you reach a rock, after which there is a little bay isolated. Someone here also practice nudism.

Sami beach is not very big, is narrow but long 500 meters.
There are chairs and umbrellas in front of the camping that is right on the beach but the rest of the bay is free.

Not far from the beach is the port of Sami where you can dock any type of boat. |

Description
Agia Pareskevi is a medium-sized beach along the road linking Sami to Agia Efimia and it is followed by another unnamed beach very small and beautiful.
These two beaches are lovely with a wonderful sea and have no bars or equipment.
You have to leave your car on the road because there is no parking area and then take a path that arrives to the beach.
The sea is calm, and faces the island of Ithaca. |

Aghia Efimia beach is right in the center of the village, close to every bar or local restaurant.
Description
The beach is small and narrow.
On one side has a seafront promenade, in the center of the beach there is a small pier and on the other side there is the port that is suitable for sailing boats.
The village is just behind with its shops and restaurants and snack bars for lunch and dinner. |

Driving along the path that leads to the beach named Gorgota you will reach the two beaches of Agia Sofia and Plati Limani.

The sea is clear and the beaches are not visited by many tourists. |

Description
there is a very long and curved road that from the village of Plagia arrives only to this bay.
As the previous beaches, this bay is not tourist, is isolated and there are only fishing boats and a mussel breeding farm.
Behind the beach there are some very beautiful trees that provide shade during the hottest hours.
Surely it is suitable if you want to stay away from mass tourism but it is not if you want convenience and comfort.
There is a small pier at the end of the beach for those who want to arrive by sea. |

Description
Foki is a small beach but at the end of a deep bay on one side and a jagged coastline filled with cypresses and other ruins of the past.
The sea is very calm and clear and the beach deep and relaxing.
An interesting feature is a cave that, looking at the sea from the beach, is placed along the coast on the right side.
You can reach it by swimming or along a path on the coast. At the entrance the cave seems small, but you can discover many old tunnels and artificial rooms created probably during the second World war. Obviously without a torch you can not move inside.
It is believed that during the war it was used by the inhabitants as a refuge. |

Description
This is the popular beach of Fiskardo village, small and unpretentious, however, has all the amenities of a beach near local restaurants, bars and shops.
The sea is as beautiful as anywhere on the island.
It can be crowded because Fiskardo has a very nice harbor and there are many who want to stay in this port with their boats.
Also in the village there is another beach that is less crowded and is located along the coast, going to the beach Foki.
It 'a romantic beach, with a nice shadow provided by the olive trees and small village houses just behind.
